I spent ten days in Nairobi meeting friends, partying and generally enjoying the comforts of the Barrow household.
Eventually it came time to say goodbye to Betsy and leave Africa behind. I dropped her over to a friends’ house who have very kindly agreed to baby sit until I could make it back. I was rather sad saying goodbye to the old girl but I knew deep down that I wasn’t saying goodbye, only see you later!! Read the rest of this entry »

Eventually late in the morning it was finally time to start the final leg of my journey. I knew the road from Naivasha to Nairobi well having driven in many many times before. Another morning of great food, walking and swimming and eventually I had to leave the island and head back to the mainland. I set off with rejuvenated spirits on the road to Kiisizi. Read the rest of this entry »
